Professional: Sakamoto has been playing professionally in Japan for nine years in the Japan Softball League (JSL). Past two years has seen back to back Champions. Her first four years she played for a team called Toda, playing her last 5 years with Team Toyota. Sakamoto has been a national team member since 2009, being a part of the team that won the Asia Cup in 2009. Canada Cup 2011 & 2012, World Championship team in 2012. 2010: Haruna hit .359 with 11 RBI.. 2011: .349 with 18 RBI.. 2012: .226 with 8 RBI
