Pride Take Game Two of Comets Series

VIERA, FL. (June 25, 2019) –The Pride won game two of series at the Space Coast Stadium. 

The first inning contained all the action for this second game!

The Comets were on the board first by scoring on a past ball to take the early lead in the middle of the first. That didn’t stop the Pride from coming back in the bottom of the inning with a Jessie Warren RBI and a Chelsea Goodacre 3-run homerun to take the lead 4-1. 

Both the Comets and the Pride were scoreless through the seventh inning, leaving the game deadlocked at 4-1 in favor of the Pride.  

In the circle, getting the start and the win for the Pride was Taran Alvelo. Alvelo only allowed 1 run on 4 hits. Jessica Burroughs came in for the Pride at the top of the sixth and closed out the game. 

The Pride take home the win in the second game of the series as well increasing the win streak to 10 in a row.

The Park Planet Player of the game was Chelsea Goodacre. Goodacre had the three run homerun for the Pride. That was the equalizer that the Pride needed to take home the win over the Comets.

Wednesday, June 26th the Pride take on the Cleveland Comets for game two of the series at 7:05 P.M. ET at the USSSA Space Coast Stadium.
