Viera, FL- June 29, 2017- Lauren Chamberlain keeps adding to her esteemed list of accolades as she continues her third season in the NPF. Her latest honor was the 2017 Henry P. Iba Citizen-Athlete Award during the 24th annual Rotary Club of Tulsa’s Henry P. Iba Citizen Athlete Awards ceremony on June 26 at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa.

Lauren earned the prestigious Henry P. Iba Citizen Athlete Award alongside MMA fighter Justin Wren Monday night at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Catoosa.

This year’s Iba Awards keynote speakers were former Olympic gymnastics champion Shannon Miller and former NBA player Chris Herren. Former KTUL Sports Director Chris Lincoln was the master of ceremonies.

The Henry P. Iba Citizen Athlete of the Year Award was established to honor 2 athletes, one male and one female, which have exhibited or demonstrated excellence in their sport and in life. The award facilitates the receiver to donate $10,000 to the charity of their choice. The Rotary Club of Tulsa then makes arrangements for the athletes to speak before high school juniors and seniors. The focus of the talk centers on the significance of education and athletics in life.
