Lorenz Signs 2-Year Deal With Pride

VIERA, FL. (June 7, 2019) – The USSSA Florida Pride has signed Florida Gator Amanda Lorenz to a 2 year contract team officials announced today.

Drafted 2nd overall and 1st pick for the Pride in the 2019 NPF Draft, this University of Florida standout put up impressive numbers throughout her career earning a nomination for the 2019 Honda Sports Awards.  Achieving season-high numbers in her senior campaign for a batting average of .422, 11 home runs, OBP of 561 and 41 RBI’s, Amanda finished her career having safely reached base in 254 out of 265 games played.   Lorenz is a truly special addition to an already star-studded Pride roster.

“Amanda has been on my radar since her freshman year and I for one am very happy to have been able to take her 2nd overall in the 2019 NPF draft”, remarked General Manager Don DeDonatis.  “As a 4 time All American and arguably the best hitter in the country, she rewrote the record book on countless categories.”

Lorenz joins former Gator teammate Nicole DeWitt this season making the Pride infield a defensive force to be reckoned with.
