National Pro Fastpitch Announces Partnership with Shoulder Shield

NASHVILLE –National Pro Fastpitch has announced a new partnership with Shoulder Shield, LLC. Shoulder Shield, based in Sherman, MS, is an innovative designed product that promotes health in the user’s shoulder and elbow joints.

“It’s always exciting to launch a new partnership, but particularly special to launch with a company that will help improve the health and wellness of our athletes,” stated Commissioner Kempf.

NPF and Shoulder Shield will be hosting a Series on NPF’s “Throwin’ Down with the NPF”, set to launch in 2012. “Throwin’ Down with the NPF” is a weekly broadcast hosted on NPF’s website that feature NPF players. Shoulder Shield and NPF will partner together for a Series of five episodes that will air five consecutive weeks in June. The Series will feature NPF Players talking about the importance of taking preventative measures to stay healthy on and off the field.

“We are excited to team up with an organization like National Pro Fastpitch that services world class athletes. We believe “Throwin’ Down with NPF” will be a great resource to educate players and promote the prevention of arm injuries,” commented Brian Boatner, founder and president of Shoulder Shield. “I invented Shoulder Shield to help me recover from a shoulder injury and get me back on the baseball field, so I understand first-hand the importance of joint health in the sports environment.”

Shoulder Shield’s neoprene sleeve promotes health by trapping heat into injury prone areas such as the shoulder and elbow joints. It diminishes wear and tear on joints, ligaments, and muscles caused by inadequate circulation and the constant heating and cooling of the muscles and joints. Shoulder Shield was designed to keep athletes healthy on the field.

“We are looking forward to the 2012 season with Shoulder Shield on board. And we are all looking forward to seeing the impressive athletes of the NPF featured in the “staying healthy” Throwin’ Down segments” stated Commissioner Kempf.
