Nicole DeWitt Signs Contract with USSSA Pride

VIERA, FL (June 15, 2018) – Nicole DeWitt has signed a two-year contract with the USSSA Pride for the 2018 season.

DeWitt, was selected as the 17th overall pick in the third round of the 2018 NPF Draft joins the Pride after an amazing collegiate career at the University of Florida.

“Nicole is truly a multi-talented player that can handle just about any job on the field offensively or defensively,” stated Head Coach Mike Stith. “She has power and short game at the plate and also an incredible ability to handle just about all defensive positions with ease.”

DeWitt was an everyday starter for the Florida line up in the infield. In her career, she was a member of the 2015 WCWS All-Tournament Team, 2017 All-SEC Team, along with multiple other SEC and regional honors.

In her senior season, DeWitt led the Gators in homeruns (14) and was second in hits (59), RBIs (57), total bases (118) and slugging percentage (.652). DeWitt started in all 67 games of her senior season as a Gator.

Her efforts on the field lead Florida to multiple Women’s College World Series appearances during her career along with one National Championship win in 2015.

Head Coach Stith said, “After a great career at Florida I am thrilled to have Nicole join the Pride and see her continue to grow in our sport.”

DeWitt becomes the third player from Florida to become a member of the Pride, joining Kirsti Merritt (2016) and Delanie Gourley (2017).
