Pride Head to Daytona To Face Beijing

Viera, FL– (July 16, 2018) The Pride are back on the road again as they take on the Beijing Eagles. The Eagles home field for the summer is Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s softball complex in Daytona Florida. The five-game series will begin on July 17 and conclude Thursday, July 19 with double headers two nights of the week.

For this series, the first game will start at 7:05 p.m. ET, Wednesday July 18 and Thursday July 19 games will be played starting at 5:00 p.m. EST and 7:00 p.m. EST and fans can watch every game, for free, all summer long on NPFTV.com.

The past week the Pride defeated the Aussie Spirit in Kansas City, in a six-game series by a combined score of 21-7, to improve their overall record to 29-2, the second loss coming from the Spirit this past weekend.

In the past 31 games, the Pride offense leads the NPF in RBIs– 26 by Sierra Romero. Lauren Chamberlain is second for homeruns – seven – in the league. The Pride has multiple players in the top-10 categories for offense. The Pride pitching staff has totaled an impressive 192 strikeouts with an 0.83 ERA.

Pride Players to Watch:

  • Jessie Warren: Warren has been hot the past few games, hitting 2 homeruns during the Aussie series. One homerun was a 3-run game winning shot, and the second was a solo shot in the fifth game of the week-long battle. Warren is currently hitting .288 on the season with 14 RBIs with a .538 slugging percentage.
  • Jolene Henderson: Henderson is currently 7-0 on the season. She is second in the league and for the Pride with a stellar 0.519 ERA. In 54 innings pitched she has only allowed 23 hits with 37 strikeouts, one shutout, and multiple complete game wins.
  • Lauren Chamberlain: Chamberlain is second in the league and the Pride for homeruns (7). In her 45 games played she is currently hitting .356 with 17 RBIs, an on base percentage of .408 and a staggering .911 slugging percentage.
