Pride Sign Sydney Romero To 2-Year Contract

VIERA, FL. (June 11, 2019) – The USSSA Florida Pride has signed University of Oklahoma standout Sydney Romero to a 2 year contract team officials announced today.

Drafted 3rd overall in the 2019 NPF Draft, this Sooner 4 time All American and one of the 3 finalists for Player of the Year, Romero’s career stats speak for themselves. She won the Big 12 Triple Crown hitting 427 with 20 HR’s and 56 RBI’s.  She also led in hits with 90 and led the nation in total bases with 176 and is in the record books for the University of Oklahoma as the career leader in at bats with 853, 58 doubles, and 13 sacrifices.  She is 2nd in hits with 320, extra base hits with 121 and total bases of 558 in her career. All of these achievements are things that dreams are made of.

Sydney joins her sister and Pride teammate Sierra this season making it a Romero duo along with another sister act and former OU teammates Nicole and Shelby Pendley.
