Pride Take on Team Florida in Evansville

The USSSA Pride will host Team Florida from Evansville, IN to play a two game series against. They will be playing at Bosse field, Home of the Evansville Otters, a minor league Baseball team. The Pride come into this matchup well rested and ready to get swinging into action after taking a by-week. Many players utilized that time in the batting cage and at practice facilities, others went to visit family. Odicci Alexander attended the ESPY’s in New York and threw out the first pitch at the MLB All Star Game in Colorado.

The group to watch in this series and the rest of the season is the bullpen. Jailyn Ford was able to complete a full game shutout last game against Team Florida, continuing her dominate season. Pitchers like Odicci Alexander and Megan Good also have been pitching fantastic games. Over a seven game stretch against Team Canada and Team Mexico, the Pride pitchers have only allowed 1.7 runs a game. Look for this number to only improve in the coming weeks.

The Pride start their mini series against Team Florida today, July 13th at 8:30 EST in Evansville, Indiana. Tickets to the game can be found here.

Three hours before game time on the 13th and 14th, there will be a meet and greet with your favorite USSSA Pride players, in addition to a fireworks show immediately following the game.
