Pride to Host Peppers for 2019 Opening Series

Viera, FL- (June 17, 2019) The Pride will be hosting their Home Opener of the 2019 season this week at the Space Coast Stadium! The Pride will battle it out against the Aussie Peppers in a five-game series. The action will start June 18th and continue through the final swing on Saturday, June 22nd. The start time will be 8:00pm on June 18th, and games on the 19th– 22nd will begin at 7:00pm. Fans can watch games LIVE all summer long on FLOSOFTBALL.com!

After playing seven games on road the Pride went 4-3 for their overall record. The Pride had two big wins over the Chicago Bandits with a combined score of 14-1. Against the Canadian Wild the Pride went 2-3. In the past games, the Pride has scored 28 runs– rookie Amanda Lorenz scoring the most with 6 on the season. Team Stats consists of: AVG of .273, OBP of .318, HR 5, RBI 28, and ERA of 2.87.

Pride Players to Watch:

  • Jessie Warren: Warren is leading the team leaderboard in two categories, homeruns and RBI. Hitting one homerun against Canadian Wild and another against Chicago Bandits. Over the past week Warren hit .500 with 5 hits and 6 RBIs. 
  • Amanda Lorenz: Rookie A. Lorenz is making an impact in her first season with the Pride. In the past week she’s hitting .333 AVG with 1 homerun, 3 RBIs, and 4 hits. Lorenz leads the team leaderboard in runs with a total of 6.
  • Taran Alvelo: Alvelo has 2 wins on her first season with the Pride. Over the span of 9 innings she only allowed 3 hits with 5 strikeouts, 2 wins, and a 0.00 ERA.
