USSSA Pride win game 3 against Florida Gulf Coast League 7-2

Viera, FL (July 24th, 2021)- Jailyn Ford took the circle in the last game of the series between the Pride and the Florida Gulf Coast League (FGCL). Ford pitched the complete game allowing two runs on five hits. Ford struck out 10 batters matching her season high for the year.

FGCL were on the board first tonight scoring one run in the top of the first inning. Rylie Boon led the game off with a triple then scored on a fielder’s choice by Stormy Kotzelnick. FGCL scored their second run in the top of the third inning with a Boon single to center scoring Ally Miklesh.

The Pride quickly responded in the bottom of the second inning putting up four runs on three homeruns. Alyssa Palomino-Cardozo led the inning off with a double then Megan Good hit the first home run of the inning to deep left field. Haley Cruse had an inside the park homerun followed by Amanda Lorenz homering to left center. Pride scored one run in the fifth on a pass ball and two runs in the sixth inning on 5 walks by FGCL pitching.
