USSSA Pride’s Sarah Pauly Brilliant, Shuts out Racers in 5-0 Win

Kissimmee, FL– The USSSA Pride continued their hot win streak on Saturday night, beating the Racers 5-0, winning their 15th game in a row bringing their record for the season to 22-7, remaining atop the NPF Standings. Sarah Pauly would be sent to the mound for the Pride to continue her brilliant work on the mound this season, and she would do just that, shutting out the Racers to earn her second win of the season. Bringing her record to 2-2 on the season. Toni Paisley would be sent to the mound for the Racers but would not last long, giving up 7 hits and 3 runs in two and a third innings.

The Pride would paint the board first in the 3rd inning as the Pride brought eight batters to the plate. Caitlin Lowe would single and Jessica Mendoza would follow that up with a deep home run over the center field wall, giving the Pride a 2-0 lead. Charlotte Morgan would then come up and reach base following an error by the Racers pitcher Toni Paisley. Francesca Enea singled to left on the very next pitch and that would bring up Ashley Charters who would rip a double down the left field line scoring Morgan, giving the Pride a 3-0 lead and hitting Toni Paisley right out of the game. Kristina Thorson would be brought in in relief and would get the final two outs to end the inning.

The Pride would go on to score a run a piece in two more innings en route to their 15th win in a row. Toni Paisley would get the loss, which would be her 1st loss of the season, leaving her record at 1-1 on the season and bring the Racers to 16-15 on the season. Sarah Pauly would go on to pitch a spectacular game as she pitched a complete game shut out, giving up 3 hits, walking one and striking out 4.
