Abbott and Show combine for shutout victory over HFL

Monica Abbott has an impressive performance pitching an impressive 5 perfect innings with 7 strikeouts. Samantha Show came in to close allowing the only hit of the evening on a bunt single by Margaret Tobias in the top of the 6th.

The scoring started for the Pride in the bottom of the 3rd inning with two outs.  Ali Aguilar walked followed by a single by Delaney Spaulding.  The ball got through the right fielder causing Aguilar to come around to score.  Spaulding scored on an RBI double by Abbey Cheek.

The rest of the runs came in the fourth inning capped off by a 3-run homerun by Aguilar.  Kayla Wedl got on base from an error by the HFL shortstop and was eventually driving in by a deep sacrifice fly by Haley Cruse.  Kelcy Leach and Shelby Pendley both scored on the Aguilar’s home run.

Offensively Aguilar lead the attack going 1-2 on the evening with two walks, two runs scored, and the homerun.
