Viera, FL (August 5, 2021)- Odicci Alexander threw her first professional career no-hitter tonight against the Carolina Collegiate League. Alexander kept Carolina’s bats quiet as she faced just one batter over the minimum. Alexander struck out 11 batters and allowed one walk.
Pride batters gave Alexander a great lead to work with scoring 11 runs on 14 hits. Pride scored two runs in the bottom of the first, four runs in the bottom of the second and five runs in the bottom of the fourth inning.
Shay Knighten had a big night with 4 RBI’s. Jessie Warren had 2 RBI’s and Alyssa Palomino-Cardoza, Jaylin Ford and Alex Powers each drove in one.
Shelby Pendley made an outstanding diving defensive play to keep the no-hitter intact in the third inning.
