Kissimmee, FL-June 28, 2016- Jordan Taylor’s “So You Think You Can Hit?” event is back! This Wednesday, fans will have a chance to step up to the plate and face professional softball pitchers Jordan Taylor, Keilani Ricketts and Lacey Waldrop all while bringing awareness to childhood cancer.

“So You Think You Can Hit is just a fun event and let’s fans REALLY experience the thrill of being in the batters box. The hitters in the NPF make it look easy sometimes, so it’s fun to remind people how hard it actually is. I’m very excited for the opportunity to run this event right here in Ann Arbor and hope to raise a lot of money for C.S. Mott children’s hospital right down the street!”

For a $25 donation, fans will get five pitches to prove they can hit off one of the best softball players in the world. Participants who manage to get a hit during their at-bat will win a FIGHT t-shirt plus hard earned bragging rights.

The event will take place this Wednesday night (June 29th) following the National Pro Fastpitch match-up between the USSSA Pride and the Chicago Bandits at Alumni Field.

USSSA Pride and former Wolverine, Jordan Taylor, created the FIGHT organization back in 2012, inspired during her Wolverine playing days to join the fight and bring awareness to pediatric cancer.

“Giving back to the community is such a huge part of Michigan Softball. Hutch really stresses the importance of using our platform as female athletes to help others. Right after college, I started FIGHT as a way to continue giving back to Ann Arbor, a community that has given me so much in my career.”

All proceeds from the event will benefit the Pediatric Center at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital in Ann Arbor Michigan. For those who cannot make it out to the event but would still like to help, visit JordanTaylorSoftball.com for a chance to donate directly to the hospital. Fans can also donate at the event if they would like to skip the opportunity to face the professionals.

The Pride played the first game of their three-part series at Michigan against the Akron Racers Monday night. Jordan Taylor and Sierra Romero will be making their debut tonight as professionals at Alumni Field hope to bring home the Pride win. This series also marks Lauren Sweet’s return to Alumni field since her playing days at Alumni Field.

Jordan Taylor will be starting on the mound tonight, something we haven’t seen from Taylor in quite a bit since she’s taken the role of closer but a great homecoming for the former Wolverine nonetheless.

“There is no place in the world that compares to Alumni Field. It was home to so many amazing experiences and memories for myself and my teammates. Stepping on the mound is probably going to give me goosebumps. I’m just so excited for both teams to play in front of our awesome Michigan fans. You’ll be hard pressed to find a more enthusiastic and passionate group of people. It might be a little strange for them to see a few of us not in the Maize & Blue, though!”

As far as going back to Michigan, a place Jordan called home for four years, it has become a second home for the California native.

“My mom actually just built a house in Dexter, MI, which is about 15 minutes outside of Ann Arbor. Luckily, now, I get to go back to Ann Arbor all the time. Still a little weird not going back to California but love that I can call it home (again)!”

Make sure to tune in to CBS Sports Network tonight at 8PM (ET) for a match-up between the USSSA Pride and Chicago Bandits, a seasoned rivalry that never disappoints.
