Nashville, TN – National Pro Fastpitch announced today a renewed partnership with softball shoe specialist, Ringor Sports. The agreement will position Ringor as “The Official Sock” of the NPF and the only sock allowed as part of the NPF on-field uniform. In addition to exclusivity in the sock category, Ringor will once again be included in the equipment pool as a shoe provider.
“Professional fastpitch softball and Ringor have had a long standing relationship due to the dedication and commitment to the sport by Ringor Co-Founder, Carol Ihlenberg. We are extremely happy to have Ringor shoes and apparel back on the field in 2013 and we are looking forward to helping Ringor continue to reach the fastpitch softball community with their high quality products,” commented NPF Commissioner, Cheri Kempf.
Ringor, a company that began its business in the shoe category, has grown over the years to include socks, apparel, equipment bags and other equipment items. Ringor is best known for the patented cleat pattern and the comfort their shoes provide for softball and baseball athletes. Ringor also broke ground in the shoe category by creating a cleat, spike, and training shoe that implemented a “pitcher’s toe” – a shoe specifically aimed at fastpitch softball pitchers.
“Every girl playing fastpitch softball has dreamed of being the best,” stated Kirk Ihlenburg, Ringor CEO. “When these young girls look into the future, they want to see themselves playing at the professional level. Ringor has been a part of these dreams for 30 years. It is a privilege to partner with the NPF and support the women who have made their own dreams come true.”
National Pro Fastpitch will kick off the 2013 season on June 5 with each of its four affiliate teams competing in an 88 game regular season before the culminating Championship Series August 22-24.
