Pride Beat Beijing Eagles

VIERA, FL. (July 23, 2019) –The Pride finished a competitive series with the Canadian Wild. They are on a three game winning streak and added to it tonight.

The final score of the game was 2-0 in favor of the USSSA Pride!

The first two innings were scoreless with the Pride getting three hits in that time frame. 

In the bottom of the third, Sydney Romero steals home to score the first run of the game. 

Keeli Miligan came into score the second run of the game, in the top of the fourth inning. The Pride were up 2-0.

Jolene Henderson had five strikeouts and was relieved by Megan Good in the top of the 6th.

Good kept the Beijing Eagles from scoring when she took over the circle at the top of the sixth.

The RIP-Sports Player of the game was Allexis Bennett and Kelly Kretschman!

Bennett got it done in the outfield tonight. She made a diving catch and threw a rocket of a throw to home plate to get an out. Along with defensive plays she made in the outfield.

Kretschman recorded her 500th career hit with a single up the middle.

The Pride will take on Beijing again, Wednesday July 24th at 7 p.m. EST at Jackie Robinson Ballpark in Daytona Florida! Then will be back home Thursday, July 25th at 7 p.m EST and end the series away, back in Daytona!
