Pride Kick Off West Coast Swing vs Cal State Northridge

NORTHRIDGE, Calif. — The Cal State Northridge softball program and the USSSA Pride competed at Matador Diamond Tuesday afternoon to promote the game of softball to the surrounding communities. A large crowd of fans of all ages watched the two teams compete and were able to get autographs from both teams following the contest.

“Today was a great opportunity for our community to see some of the world’s best,” CSUN head coach Tairia Flowers said. “It was great to see such a big crowd out there and I think everyone had a lot of fun out there.”

Both the Matadors and Pride will be in Cathedral City this weekend to participate in the Cathedral City Classic at Big League Dreams Sports Park. At the event, Northridge will play Boise State, No. 8 Texas, Iowa, No. 1 California and San Diego State. The Pride will take on Cal State San Marcos, Concordia College and Victor Valley Community College.
