Pride on a winning streak!

For the third consecutive night, the USSSA Pride come out on top against the Smash It Sports Vipers.  Keely Rochard gets the nod for the Pride and comes out strong in the first inning with three straight strike outs.  The Pride offense came ready to play from the top of the first.  With one out, Delanie Wisz hits a double, followed by a single by the red hot Chelsea Goodacre that moves Wisz. Abbey Cheek comes to the plate and smokes a line drive to left, for a sac fly scoring Wisz giving the Pride the first run of the game.  Taylor Ellsworth follows that with another double to bring around Goodacre.  At the end of the first the Pride lead 2-0.

Rochard and the Pride defense kept the bats of the Vipers quiet in the top of the second and third.  In the bottom of the third, Goodacre has her second hit of the evening, and Abbey Cheek hits a towering homerun to put the Pride up 4-0 after three innings

In the top of the sixth, the Vipers battle back and get two runs off only one hit but again, strong pitching and heads up defense, help the Pride to only allow the two runs and leave the bases loaded.  The Pride does not score keeping the score 4-2 after six.

Sam Show is brought in to close in the top of the seventh to face the heart of the Vipers line up.  Jocelyn Alo of the Vipers leads off the inning with a base hit, followed by a walk by Mary Iakopo.  Show strikes out Shelbi Sunseri for the first out bringing up Fa Leilua.  Leilua hits first pitch line drive to Delaney Spaulding, and doubles off Alo at second for the third and final out.  Pride win 4-2.
