USSSA Pride Head Back to Viera for 4th of July Series

Viera, FL– July 3, 2017- After weeks on the road, the Pride are heading back to Viera for a six-game “4th of July” series at USSSA Space Coast Stadium. The Pride will be hosting the Scrap Yard Dawgs, the Beijing Eagles and the Texas Charge July 4th, 5th and 6th before they head to Miami on July 7th.

The series’ kicks-off July 4th at 4:05PM (ET) with game one of the night’s double header featuring the Texas Charge and the Beijing Eagles. Game two on July 4th features the USSSA Pride and the Scrap Yard Dawgs with first pitch set for 7:05PM (ET). These first two games will be streamed live on the Olympic Channel.

On July 5th first pitch is set for 5:05PM (ET) for game one of the night’s double header featuring the Texas Charge and the Beijing Eagles. Game two on July 5th features the USSSA Pride and the Scrap Yard Dawgs with first pitch set for 8:05PM (ET). Games one and two will be live streamed on NPF-TV.com.

On July 6th first pitch is set for 5:05PM (ET) for game one of the night’s double header featuring the Scrap Yard Dawgs and the Beijing Eagles. Game two on July 6th features the USSSA Pride and the Beijing Eagles with first pitch set for 8:05PM (ET). Games one and two will be live streamed on NPF-TV.com.

The Pride currently stand at the top of the league with a 14-2 record. In sixteen games, the Pride have scored 89 runs, with 21 home runs, 82 RBI and averaged a .480 slugging percentage. The Pride pitching staff has totaled 102 strikeouts and have averaged a 1.6 ERA. Since losing against the Dawgs on June 17th the Pride have won eight straight and finished their last series against the Dawgs taking all three games.

  • Kelly Kretschman: Kelly currently leads the league in batting average (.525), on-base percentage (.661) and slugging percentage (.950). She leads the Pride in home runs (4), tied with Sierra Romero and Shelby Pendley, hits (21), runs (15) batting average (.525) and on-base percentage (.661).
  • Sierra Romero: Is leading the Pride team in home runs (4), tied with Kelly Kretschman and Shelby Pendley, and leads the Pride in RBI (13). Romero is averaging a .373 on-base percentage with 10 hits, 8 runs scored and 2 doubles.
  • Megan Wiggins: Megan currently leads the league and the Pride in stolen bases with 10. She currently has 11 hits, 13 runs scored, 6 RBI and is hitting .244 with an on-base percentage of .404.
