USSSA Pride Selects Megan Faraimo in the First Round of WPF’s First In-Person Draft: Check Out the Rest of Their Picks!

The USSSA Pride traveled to Oklahoma City on April 17th to participate in the WPF’s first ever, in-person draft where all four league teams chose from the pool of college seniors to join them in the pros.  

Attendees included WPF Commissioner Lauren Chamberlain; current and former USSSA Pride players Alex Powers (on-site draft analyst), Shelby Pendley, Delaney Spaulding, and Hope Trautwein; host Chris Plank; ESPN analyst Jen Shroeder; plus additional league players, team executives and league partners. The event was open to Pride fans, fastpitch enthusiasts, and the general public. 

Thousands of people watched live via the WPF YouTube channel.  


The USSSA Pride ended the first round by drafting Megan Faraimo, UCLA’s dominant arm.  

The Pride’s remaining selections included: 

Round 2, 8th overall | Kayla Kowalik, University of Kentucky 

Round 3, 12th overall | Brooke Yanez, UCLA 

Round 4, 16th overall | Allee Bunker, University of Oregon 

Round 5, 20th overall | Caroline Jacobsen, Clemson University 

Round 6, 24th overall | Jordyn Rudd, Northwestern University

*Note: All drafted athletes are required to exhaust their college eligibility or finish their final season with their respective colleges, before signing a professional contract to play with one of the league’s four franchises.
