USSSA Pride Take Game Two Against the Akron Racers, 3-0

Kissimmee, FL- August 9th-The USSSA Florida took game two against the Akron Racers with a 3-0 final Tuesday night. The game was called after five official innings due to lightning and rain in the area before the sixth inning could be completed and the four runs the Pride added in the top of the sixth were not recorded. Hallie Wilson led the Pride offensive going 3-for-3 on the night with one run scored.

The scoring started in the top of the second for the Pride. Lauren Chamberlain led off the offense drawing the walk, followed with a single by Hallie Wilson to put two on for Keilani who drew the second walk of the inning to load the bases for Kelsey Stewart. With no outs, Stewart doubled to left center to bring in 2RBI and give the Pride an early 2-0 lead.

Kretschman then led off the top of the 3rd drawing a lead-off walk. With two outs, Hallie Wilson added her second single of the night to place two runners on for Keilani Ricketts who singled to center field to score Kretschman from second for a 3-0 final.

Starting pitcher Keilani Ricketts tossed four innings, faced 15 batters, kept the Racers to one hit and struck out five hitters on the night to earn the win.

The Pride continues the series tomorrow night at the University of Notre Dame at 7PM. Fans can purchase tickets at the gate for the final stop of the NPF College Tour or watch on NPFTV.
