Viera, FL-July 18, 2017– Jordan Taylor’s “So You Think You Can Hit?” event is back for round two! This Thursday, July 20th, USSSA is going to host the first “So You Think You Can Hit” event at USSSA Space Coast Stadium.
Fans will have a chance to step up to the plate and face professional softball pitchers from both the USSSA Pride and the Chicago Bandits immediately following the NPF match-up on Thursday night in the hopes of striking out pediatric cancer.
“So You Think You Can Hit is just a fun event and let’s fans REALLY experience the thrill of being in the batter’s box. The hitter in the NPF make it look easy sometimes, so it’s fun to remind people how hard it actually is,” said USSSA Pride pitcher Jordan Taylor.
Our first event of the summer in Kansas City raised $800 for Children’s Mercy and Emma’s Art Cart. Fans have three more chances this summer to face their favorite pitchers in the box while also raising money for pediatric cancer. The upcoming dates and locations are as follows:
July 20th USSSA Space Coast Stadium Viera, FL
July 26th Firestone Stadium Akron, OH
August 4th USSSA Space Coast Stadium Viera, FL
Fans who would like to participate can contribute a minimum donation of $25 to C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital. Participants get a total of 5 pitches during the at-bat and a chance to prove their skills.
