USSSA Pride welcomes Jessie Harper

VIERA, FL. (June 16, 2021) – The USSSA Pride has signed University of Arizona three-time All-American short stop Jessie Harper for their 2021 season officials announced today.

The best bad ball hitter that you have ever seen is what Jim Harper, Jessie’s dad, has been told about this U of A superstar. One of the most unassuming power hitters, Coach Mike Candrea is quoted as saying “there’s not a pitch that she doesn’t like and she has the knack of putting the barrel on the ball.” The focus on Jessie has also been the NCAA homerun record held by former Pride player and Oklahoma alumni, Lauren Chamberlain. Jessie finished her college career with 92 homeruns, not quite breaking Lauren’s record of 95 but Jessie is the only short stop to come close to this prestigious record as well while commanding a .340 lifetime batting average with 255 rbi’s.

“The signing of right handed power hitting short stop Jessie Harper solidifies the infield, the last piece of the puzzle for this 2021 Pride season,” stated Pride General Manager, Don DeDonatis Sr. “With this addition to an already powerful lineup, this year’s team might just be the most dominant line up in Pride history”.

We look forward to counting homeruns with you now as a Pride athlete, Jessie.

You can count along with us as Jessie joins the Pride in their home opening series vs Team Mexico June 15-18th at Space Coast Stadium.

The Prides entire 2021 season schedule, including special themed days, can be found on their website at www.usssapride.com and all games are streamed live on USSSALive.com
