USSSA Signs 3-year Sponsorship Agreement with NFCA

IMG_7263Kissimmee, FL– February 24, 2016- USSSA announced it has a signed a three year extension to remain the title sponsor of the NFCA Kickoff Reception. At the 2015 NFCA Convention in Atlanta, USSSA sponsored the Kickoff Reception for over 800 college, travel, and high school coaches. Due to the success of the event and the support of NFCA’s mission to advance the sport, USSSA CEO/Chairman of the Board Don DeDonatis wanted to continue this relationship between the NFCA and USSSA.

“We are excited to continue our relationship with NFCA and support the coaches involved in the organization. The kickoff reception last December was well attended and we enjoyed working with the NFCA staff to host a great event.”

The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) is the professional growth organization for fastpitch softball coaches from all competitive levels of play. Their purpose is to support fastpitch coaches in their quest for excellence, while uniting together to advance the sport.

USSSA Fastpitch started in 1998 with a little over 4,000 registered fastpitch teams. Today, fastpitch membership has grown to over 20,000 youth teams from across the country. Additionally, USSSA Fastpitch is home to the USSSA Pride, a member of the National Pro Fastpitch (NPF) league and USA Elite Select, the elite division of USSSA Fastpitch.

USSSA’s sponsorship of the Kickoff Reception furthers USSSA’s commitment to investing in the game of fastpitch and supporting the organizations working to develop all facets of the game.  For years, USSSA has sponsored a breakfast for NFCA participants as well as exhibitor booths for the Pride and USSSA Fastpitch. This past year we added a booth for USA Elite Select and two USA Elite Select sanctioned showcases—Top Gun Invitational and Champions Elite Showcase.

Additionally, USA Elite Select hosted chalk talks on catching, infield/outfield, pitching and hitting with current and former USSSA Pride players. These professional players led engaging discussions on strategies and drills with over 200 coaches in each session. The chalk talks allowed for the game’s best players-Natasha Watley, Caitlin Lowe, Cat Osterman, and Megan Wiggins-to provide insights on the game from a current player’s perspective. Within the deal, USSSA will continue to host chalk talk sessions during the NFCA Convention.

Next year’s NFCA Convention will be held in New Orleans followed by Vegas in 2017 and Chicago in 2018. The Kickoff Reception takes place on the opening night of the convention following the keynote speaker and is open to all registered NFCA Convention participants.
