VIERA, FL. (June 17, 2021) – Watch 2021 Softball America Pitcher of the Year Odicci Alexander make her professional debut tonight with the USSSA Pride after signing earlier this week. Smash It Sports is proud to present tonight’s game on USSSALive.com for FREE.
Alexander was the 2021 Women’s College World Series “Cinderella story” and is an inspiration to all who love the game of softball.
The USSSA Pride take on Team Mexico tonight at 7:05pm at the USSSA Space Coast Stadium in Melbourne, FL. Tickets are available at USSSAPride.com/tickets.
Alexander, a legend in the Dukes program throwing 1057 pitches during the 2021 Women’s College World Series, this James Madison University most decorated softball player, finished her career with 81 wins, racking up 712 strikeouts in 640 innings of work.
“Her passion for the sport and her love of the game were evident every inning of every game at the WCWS, as we saw firsthand in Oklahoma”, remarked Pride General Manager Don DeDonatis Sr. “Odicci has been on the Pride radar since 2019 when we were scouting and drafting then JMU pitcher Megan Good. It didn’t go unnoticed that Odicci was 24 and 1 that year with an ERA of 1.70 and 178 strikeouts in 152 innings. I am happy to finally see that the softball world had an opportunity to witness firsthand what an outstanding program JMU and coach Loren LaPorte have created.”
The JMU softball program athletes are no strangers to the Pride as Odicci will join fellow alumni pitchers Jailyn Ford and Megan Good in the circle this year.
