OKLAHOMA (March 30, 2023) – WPF is pleased to announce that this year’s college draft will be held on April 17th in Oklahoma City at the Yale Theatre. This event marks the first in-person draft in league history, as WPF held a social-media only draft in its exhibition year (2022).
“To have everyone from our league in the same room in Oklahoma City will be special,” said Lauren Chamberlain, Commissioner. “Each one of our teams has been working their tails off to build exceptional ball clubs. The draft will be extremely special for the league, teams, and future players, and it deserves a night of total celebration.”
All four teams in the league are participating in the draft: USSSA Pride, Smash It Sports Vipers, Texas Smoke, and OKC Spark. And, to celebrate the occasion, limited tickets are available to the public for purchase. Fans have the chance to get up close to their favorite current WPF athletes and star-studded team executives.
